I can't believe that I am 38 weeks pregnant. It seems so surreal. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and forget that I am pregnant until I look in the mirror and think "GOO" what happened. But I am SO excited to be a Mommy. And Tommy is SO ready to hold her. So for now...we will take trips up the canyon, lots of walks, and enjoy our time with just the two of us.

FHE @ Silver Lake...and a New Friend
ALL summer long Tommy has talked about heading up to Silver Lake to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. Which I find ironic because Tommy is a city slicker who hates camping in the mountains. But, he does enjoy being in the mountains and how amazingly close they are to us. He would just rather visit them and then sleep in his own bed.
So, for our little Family Home Evening we took a walk around Silver Lake. It was SO pretty and just what I needed to get out of the house after a long day's work.
Tommy and I both just were loving the scenery and the smell and being outside, when we ran into a new friend. MR. MOOSE.
The Moose really was so close that I could have reached out and touched it...if I had wanted to end my life of course. Tommy kept wanting to take more and more pics, but I was a little nervous being around a large wild animal and being pregnant and all.
Needless to say it was a great night and so fun to spend some time with Tommy Boy. We really should do stuff like this more often because we are fortunate to live just minutes away from activities just like this.
P.S. We finished the night with dinner at Porcupine Grill. Can I just say that HANDS DOWN they have the BEST fish and chips known to man. Mmm.... Craving them right now.

Walt Disney World...BABYMOON!!!
I thought that before the baby actually comes I should blog about the BabyMoon Tommy and I took with the Handley's, as one last BIG TRIP before our sweet baby comes and changes our traveling for awhile.
We were lucky enough to be invited by the Handley's to join them on their family trip to Walt Disney World. They were going because Boston was: A. One of 96 lacrosse athletes in the Nation asked to come and play in the All-American Showcase and B. Because Boston was leaving for his mission shortly after.
We had such a GREAT TIME despite the HOT HOT weather and HUMIDITY that made this pregnant girl feel like she was going through early menopause.

Talking to Strangers...
A friend of mine just posted about a Target Ad she saw in a magazine...
Real Life...
As for this conversation with a stranger about nipples... my 70yr. old male neighbor decided that it was his job to have this awkward conversation with me about breastfeeding and nipples because his wife is a lactation specialist. I couldn't even look him in the eye...I tried to change the subject...I was literally sweating from awkwardness...I was praying for Tommy to get home... I didn't know whether to bolt inside my house and shut the garage and then just ignore him for the rest of my life... Or tell say to him "I have nipples Focker can you Milk me?"(To ease the tension of course)... What would you have done?
A Conversation with stranger about nipples...totally fine...as long she is a woman... or a mother... not a 70yr old man. Just thought I would share.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN....
It's the final countdown...(I can just hear this song in my head all the time)
Okay, so I still have 8 weeks left but with all my projects and furniture I'm redoing for her room it doesn't seem like I have enough time.
This is my cute COUNTDOWN CHAIN that my darling friend Carley made for me...I love it!
P.S. a big shout out to Carley who was due on September 9th and because of complications had her baby 3 weeks early. So WELCOME to the world Samanatha Jayne Eastman...the cutest 5 lb. 17 in. baby ever!
